Experience
I earned my master's degree in mathematics from the University of Kansas. I have over 10 years of teaching experience at the University of Kansas, and I am currently a visiting professor at several local universities. I was nominated GTA of the year in 2010 at the University of Kansas for my teaching performance. I also received the award of tutor of the year in 2006 from the Kansas Algebra Program at the University of Kansas. Recently I have authored several mathematics textbooks for iBooks. My interactive calculus textbook was featured on stage in the iPad mini Keynote presentation by Apple's CEO. For three semesters I was director of Mathematics Placement Exams at KU. Also for four years, I was a supervisor at the Kansas Algebra Program at KU, which involved managing a math help room that served hundreds of students on a daily basis. In my long experience I have helped students of all learning types and abilities. I pride myself in offering a very personalized tutoring experience. I will zero in on my students' strengths and weaknesses to maximize the benefit of our session. I look forward to hearing from you.
