I am an experienced tutor currently working toward a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Kansas. I tutor university classmates in physics, and will soon tutor for the Kansas Algebra Program as well. My preferred subject to tutor is Math, as I understand how difficult it can be for some students. The fact that I can understand the difficulty, but also see the solutions, makes tutoring easier for all involved. I am also able to tutor in the Natural Sciences, like Chemistry and Physics.Regardless of the subject, I enjoy seeing hard work pay off. Even if that hard work belongs to another person, there is a certain satisfaction in witnessing the moment where everything clicks. My enjoyment of this moment, as well as my desire to tutor, stems from the fact that I love learning in general. It's a fun process to be a part of, and I consider myself lucky to be in a position where I am able to do it.If you catch me away from the classroom, you'll find me doing things that look suspiciously like learning, like reading, music, and other activities generally considered 'geeky' or 'nerdy'.
